The Pacific Northwestern species can be distinguished as follows:
1. Hairs on pronotum subdepressed and
pointed backwards.............................................................2.

Elytra yellowish with black stripes and blotches,
sometimes reduced to two medio-lateral dots

Elytra yellow-reddish or red with a large

Abdomen densely clothed with golden
pubescence. Elytra yellow always with

over most of area. Pronotum with short,

mostly reddish-yellow or yellow-brown base.
